What is a doula?
A birth doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to birthing people and their families before, during, and shortly after childbirth. No matter your birth plan—unmedicated, medicated, cesarean, home, hospital, or birth center—your doula is there to walk with you, offering care grounded in trust, respect, and advocacy.
