Postpartum Care
At It Takes a Village, postpartum care is never an afterthought—it’s a vital part of the journey. The weeks following birth are full of physical healing, emotional shifts, and the beginnings of a new family rhythm. That’s why I offer intentional, continuous care that supports both you and your baby through the entire fourth trimester.
As your midwife, I provide care for both you and your newborn throughout the first six weeks of life. This includes a thoughtful schedule of postpartum visits at 2-3 days postpartum, 2 weeks and six weeks—starting with home visits in the first few days after birth when rest and recovery are most essential, followed by in-office or home visits as your body continues to heal and your baby grows. Each visit is designed to check in not just on vitals and weight, but on how you’re really doing—emotionally, physically, and as a growing family.
This is also a time when many parents can feel isolated or overwhelmed. That’s why I believe strongly in creating a circle of support around you. Postpartum care isn’t just clinical—it’s a chance to connect, ask questions, cry if you need to, and be reminded that you're not doing this alone. Whether it's newborn feeding support, talking through birth processing, or just showing up with compassion and presence, I’m here to help you navigate this tender season with confidence.
Together, we build your village—because thriving in new parenthood requires more than checkups; it takes consistent, compassionate support every step of the way

Andrea is truly one of the most wonderful midwives! From day one of meeting me after I expressed a desire for VBA2C, she was encouraging, loving, helpful, & never once had a doubt that I could have the birth of my dreams. Baby girl ended up coming quicker than most of us expected but Andrea was able to be there and help us through the end of the birth process. After the birth she took such wonderful care of me and baby girl. I’m forever grateful and just had such a wonderful experience with Andrea!
