Why We Gather
We started the Black Breastfeeding Week Photoshoots in Dallas to celebrate and center Black families. Too often, Black parents don’t see themselves represented in breastfeeding spaces — and we wanted to change that. These photoshoots create space for joy, visibility, and community while challenging stigma and honoring the beauty of Black breastfeeding. It’s about healing, pride, and making sure our stories are seen and remembered.
