August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month, and August 25–31 marks Black Breastfeeding Week — a time to uplift, honor, and amplify Black breastfeeding families. This year, we're stepping forward with Boots on the Ground, a powerful celebration dedicated to visibility, education, and community support.

Join us for a vibrant day filled with amazing community vendors , connection, and our 8th annual community photoshoot honoring the beauty, resilience, and joy of Black breastfeeding families across DFW.

💛 Who Should Attend?

Everyone is welcome — whether you’ve weaned, are nursing older children, currently breastfeeding or pumping, pregnant and planning to nurse, or simply want to support and celebrate Black breastfeeding. This event is for you.

🎁 Diaper Drive

Admission is free — but in support of our community, we ask each family to bring an unopened pack of diapers (any size) to donate to Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center.

Prefer to donate money? You can contribute to the diaper drive online during registration.

We are honored to have Samantha Tollison (@samanthatollisonbirth) volunteering her time and talent as our lead photographer.

Attire Request: Please wear western wear! Bring out your denim, cowboy hats and boots! Please avoid busy prints or large graphics. Those with graphic tops will be asked to sit out of the group photo.
